A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Delta State, Chief Osiobe Okotie has disclosed that, Urhobo Progressives Union (UPU) President General Olorogun Moses Tiaga is a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, alleging that he has sold Urhobo nation to PDP.
He said that the Urhobo Progress Union President General, Chief Moses Tiaga is core PDP in Governor Ifeanyi Okowa administration to sell Urhobo people to be PDP followers.
Lamenting that, Chief Moses Tiaga has abandoned the Urhobo elites, saying that no Urhobo patriotic sons attended the recent Urhobo Urhobo day celebration, especially the Senator representing Urhobo nation at the apex chamber was not invited, Chief Great Ogboru and many others were not equally invited for the Urhobo Progress Union Day celebration which proved that, it is a PDO affairs, alleging that, Olorogun Moses Taiga cannot take Urhobo to be the promise land.
He expressed gratitude over the honor done on him by the councillorship candidate of Ughelli South to pay him visi pledging their loyalty in recognition of his ambition.
He vowed to support them in the forthcoming local poll and ensure that they won their election, even though Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has perfected plans to rig the elections 2019 in favour of PDP in the state.
On his party, Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu a former Commission in Delta State and chairman of Urhobo Progress Union Urhobo day 2017 ceremony Committee faulted Chief Osiobe Okotie over his comment on UPU President General, Chief Moses taiga. He said that, Olorogun Moses Taiga is not a PDP member, neither is he a stakeholder of the rulling party in the state
He said, Chief Taiga is not a partisan person and UPU is not anti-party government “Urhobo Progress Union is not opposition to other party, Olorogun Moses Taiga is a man of high integrity, respected by all over Urhobo nation and worldwide.
He added that. Anybody who wants to damage the image of the Urhobo Progress Union President General is a wicked and evil person, saying that, UPU is a social cultural organization for the common interest of the Urhobo people, adding that Okotie should resign if he wants to contest political office
