The President of Urhobo Christian Fellowship of Nigeria, Archbishop, Sodje Efeoghene Wilfred has said that the unity of Urhobo in all ramifications is panacea for its rapid growth and development just as he said there can’t be a division in the body of Jesus Christ.
Archbishop Wilfred stated this when the body in conjunction with Urhobo Christens Ministers – Association International (UCNAI) organized Urhobo International day of prayer fasting and thanks -giving which took place at Urhobo Cultural Centre, Uvwiamughe Agbarho in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State recently, tagged- “unity of Urhobo”
He said Urhobo should avoid the Pull-Him-Down Syndrome but support any cause of an Urhobo that could be of benefit to them.
He charged all Christians to emulate Jesus Christ’s virtues. He said: “as Christians, we should love one another to make us move forward, as Urhobo, a nation, state and country”.
He thanked Evang. (Mrs.) Dinah Okpos, Bishop Eremure from Bayelsa, Apostle Clever Ishaka , Archbishop Angel Enemute Oyeghe Rev. Felix Aruoture among others for having Urhobo at heart and their support both morally and financially for the unity of Urhobo.
On his part, the Chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Delta State and Presiding Bishop Heroes of Faith international Church, Ughelli, Bishop Kingsley Enakirerhi said despite the numerical strength of Urhobo as nation, they have not experienced progress because their leaders and fat hers offended God by marrying many wives, worshiping idols.
In his own view, Rev. (Dr). Harri ton Akpodiete said the body will try its best to use the media to foster unity of Urhobo.
Other speakers include: Rt. Rev. Isaac Obien, Rt. Rev ( Dr.) Erifeta Blessing, Bishop (Dr)Diamond Emuobo, among others. The programme featured prayers in different angles for Urhobo nation.
