A stalwart of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Chief Chris Ometan has called on President Buhari to give peace a chance by honourably stepping aside in 2019, because adding that President Buhari doesn’t have the capacity to handle the affairs of the country effectively.
The PDP chieftain speaking to newsmen recently at Orerokpe, headquarters of Okpe Local Government Area, Delta State, Chief Ometan the Ogoni of Okpe Kingdom maintained that since the All Progressives Congress (APC) Government headed by President Buhari has failed Nigerians abysmally in delivering it’s electoral promises, they should shamefully quit the scene.
Commenting on the recent letter of Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, the outspoken Okpe Chief said the letter was timely and should be taken seriously by Nigerians.
He felicitated with the Chairman of Okpe Local Government, Chief Julius Jessa Scatt on his victory in the recent council polls in the state and his subsequent inauguration.
Chief Ometan also used the medium to congratulate and commend all those who fought gallantly to give room to Scott’s emergence and success.
He commended the state Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for making Okpe proud in the present PDP administration, noting that the Okpe people have never had it so good.
Speaking further, he said the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) would wrest power from the All Progressive Congress come 2019, as according to him, “the APC has failed to deliver”.
