Okotie Can’t Be Stampede To Resign From Urhobo Progress Union

The APC front line Governorship aspirant, Chief Osiobe Okotie has disclosed the reason why he stepped into partisan politics against all odds from Urhobo Progress Union.

Chief Okotie said Delta State is economically and naturally blessed and does not see why the people should suffer, adding that, the only way-or means he can rescue Deltans is through partisan politics.

Just as he lambasted those who are calling on him to resign his position as the first President General of Urhobo Progress Union.

He assured that at the appropriate time he is going to so “But I will not allow anybody to stampede me, because as I’m talking to you now PDP has hijacked the Urhobo Progress Union, but they will fail.

Chief Okotie who was addressing, LGA, Chairmen, 10 Leaders from each of the LGA, ward Chairmen, secretaries, youth Leaders, woman Leaders from the 8 LGA s of Delta Central Senatorial District in Effurun, said this is the time for Deltans to take over the state from those oppressing them couple with the bad governance and non-performance of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

He urged Deltans to stone anybody who come to tell them that APC has zoned its governorship ticket. “I want to tell you in a clear language APC has not zone its governorship ticket to anywhere. So, stone anybody who is telling you that. We remain one in Delta State, the best man for the position should get it, and I’m the right man for the job so support me as delegates to scale through for a better Delta State.”

He said he is going to create employment by removing graduates from the streets by production of Agricultural products like cassava, rubber and palm oil by processing and exporting them in order for the state to earn foreign exchange.

He said he decided to inform them of his intention of contesting the governorship election in 2019, and to solicit their support.

Responding Chief Ogba Ogbon on behalf of Delta Central, said they have heard him and they are ready to work with him to rescue the state from the oppressive PDP. While commending him for coming out to lead the battle he expressed sadness that despite the fact that Delta is an oil producing state the people are suffering. He added that they are solidly behind him in his effort to free the state from the hands of its oppressors.

On his part Chief J M Orido urged Urhobos and Delians to support, Chief Okotie, in his drive to rescue Delta Stale. While commending him for his courage added that he has all it takes to become the Governor of Delta State.
