Nigeria misplaced her Priority During Oil Boom

Nigeria

The Grand administrator and Director Supreme Board Rosicrucian Order, AMORC, Dr. Kenneth Idiodi, (JP) has described the challenges befalling Nigeria today were result of her misplaced priorities and mismanagement of resources at the time of oil boom in the· country.

Speaking at U gbomro, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, at the Delta/Edo Conclave, Ughelli 2018 with the theme: ‘Soul’s Immortality and Universal Love’ ldiodi said, “Nigeria was like an over pampered and spoilt child during the time of oil boom who could not control her resources and as such it destroys her priority.

“God has blessed this country with so many rich natural resources but was swept off her feet by too much money which she could not manage as a result she lost her focus, sense of value, became lazy and refuse to work, forgot about the groundnut pyramid, the cocoa plantations and other resources she used to survive before the discovery of oil which incurred the wrath of nature because nature avoids waste” the AMORC.

Grand Administrator maintained that love tolerance and obedience to the dictates of our conscience both as individuals and leaders was the only way out of the Nation’s present predicaments. He noted that what is common to all humans irrespective of tribe, religion and political affiliation is their desire and effort to relate directly with God Almighty, adding that the golden rule to achieve this was to walk in Universal love in its fulness.

According to him, “At a time when the world in rife with violence, terrorism, and extra-judicial killings, it is appropriate to reflect and discuss on this theme which highlights our inherent Immortality and the need for us to practice Universal love in which we are spiritually immersed.

“The world today had more than enough hate aspects of our National life because what we· do for ourselves dies with us but what we do for others and world remains and is immortal.”

While saying thatAMORC was · not a magical, mysterious or religious organization, but a school of life, learning that embraces members from all works of life including politics, he advised ‘Nigerian leaders to always strive to do the right thing as they will not remain in position for life, adding that they will only be remembered for what they do and not what they fail to do.

“Leaders of this country must appreciate the fact that their tenure are temporal and they should realize that every human being is a leader in one aspect of life and if they should follow the voice of their conscience, they will succeed because the voice of God is in you.

“They should also know and realized that they would be remembered here· for what they have done either good or bad at the time of immortality and not by what we fail to do. An American author and biographer said, ‘what we do for ourselves dies with us but what we do for others and the world remains and immortal.” He said.
