The Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard relishes playing with striker Diego Costa and is keen for the Spaniard to resolve his stand-off with the Premier League champions and return to action.
Diego Costa, who was Chelsea’s top scorer in their title wining campaign, was eager to rejoin former club Atletico Madrid in the transfer window after Chelsea manager Antonio Conte allegedly told the striker that he was surplus to requirements in May.
The 28-year-old move back to Spain fell through and Costa has remained in Brazil, accusing Chelsea of treating him “like a criminal”, and has yet to return to training with the London side.
Diego Costa and I have been playing together for three years and have won everything together except for champions league,” Eden Hazard told Spanish sports news.
“it’s a pleasure playing with him, he’s a top player and a top person”.
I would like to see him come back but I don’t make the decisions. I hope he can find a solution so that we can see him back on the pitch soon.
Costa was left out of Chelsea's submitted Champions League squad this week but he has been included in the Premier League list. He has kept a lower profile in recent days and has deleted his Instagram account.
