The All Progress Congress APC Ethiope East Local Government Chapter has passed a vote of confidence on Prophet Jones Erhue,Chairman of Delta State, All Progress Congress APC.
At it’s enlarged meeting held in Kokori ward 6, Ethiope East LGA, during the weekend moderated by Pastor Steve Eruotor, Chairman of Ethiope East LGA, Mr Joe Ajekpovu moved the motion for the vote of confidence which was seconded by Comrade Syvelstar Ajari, for his leadership style and how he has been running the affairs of the party in the state.
Before the vote of confidence was moved Chief Ralphael Okejevwe known as Achanachor, who is one of the Leaders of APC in the LGA said the decision of the National Executive Council of the party, to add additional one year to the tenure of the present Executives was a wise decision.
He disclosed that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) was sponsoring some people to cause confusion during the congress and that if the Congress was conducted the party could torn apart as a result of the crisis rocking it right from the National to the ward level which he accused the PDP of or orchestrating .
He affirmed Pastor Steve Eruotor as the Chairman of Ethiope East LGA. “
So shall it be in the next one year including our ward chairmen, that have been with us during the turbulent days.
He said that the ward with the highest number of attendants shall be given a token to encourage them. He charged members to reach out and bring those who were on the other side before now to join them since according to him their common enemy is the PDP which must be chased out from Government House Asaba in 2019.
He called on members to unite so that the party can come out strong in the general elections.
Mr Joseph Ajekpovu also said the non elective convention was in order and it prevented a serious crisis which could have led to violence if not even loss of lives.
He called on the LGA chairman to carry the ward chairmen along most especially those who were with him during the turbulent days. Comrade Paul Efe Osumiri explained that he is not in the party to drag any position with any body but to strengthen it’s base in Abuja.
He added that while there is vacancy in Asaba there is no vacancy in Abuja. He noted that his desire is to ensure that PDP is chase out of Delta State.
The Ethiope East LGA Chairman, Pastor Steve Eruotor, thanked members of the party most especially the ward chairmen who stood by him during his turbulent days.
He assured that he is going to carry everybody along including those who are were on the other side before now. He added that what is paramount right now is how to unite everybody in order for the party to be victorious in the general elections.

The member representing Ethiope federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Lovette Idisi has said that his second term will usher in more dividends of democracy compare to his first tenure.
Idisi who disclosed this at Ibori’s Civic center, Oghara, Ethiope West local government area while briefing his constituents on his stewardship at the lower chamber of the national assembly since he assumed office, said he has gained more experience to attract more development to his people.
While urging the people of his constituency to support him on his second term, Idisi said he has never and will not disappoint them for their mandate given to him to represent them at the House of Representative, saying that their pains are his pains.
He explained that his primary duty was to make good laws that will be favourable to his people, which according to him have been well followed to the latter because of his experience as a practicing lawyer before he went into politics.
He said upon his assumption of office, swung into legislative duties, especially laws that would benefits his people and Nigerians in general, that he has within his three years in the house sponsored bills that include; welfare and Social impact partnership Act Bill, Bill to amend the excess crude account on disbursement legality, Bill for an Act to establish Federal University of Petroleum, Effurun (Co-sponsored) among others.
He also noted that there are challenges of one being a first timer in the house, appealing to constituents to give him second chance to be in the house where he would be a Chairman of a committee that would enable him to do more for his people.
Idisi, however said that he has empowered party leaders, stakeholders and constituents within in his constituency in line with his campaign promises, assuring them of more dividends of democracy if elected for the second time.
